Question 1

Do I have to move my work into ClientLens?

Accepted Answer

No. ClientLens is a read-only layer on top of your existing Jira or Linear. Your delivery team keeps working in the tool it already uses.

Question 2

Why not just invite the client into Jira or Linear?

Accepted Answer

If the client needs to collaborate inside the project tool, guest access can be the right choice. ClientLens is for a different job: giving the client a focused view of project status while keeping the internal operating workspace internal.

Question 3

Can my client see internal fields like assignees or comments?

Accepted Answer

The public page is built from a separate client-facing projection. Assignees, internal comments, labels, and raw descriptions are not included in that public projection. Preview as Client lets you inspect the final view before publishing.

Question 4

What title does the client see?

Accepted Answer

You can set a client-facing title override for a work item. If you do not set one, ClientLens falls back to the tracker title, which is why the Preview as Client step is an important final check before publishing.

Question 5

What if my workflow has custom statuses?

Accepted Answer

You map raw statuses to a canonical set: Planned, In Progress, In Review, or Done. The internal workflow stays untouched while the client page uses consistent status language.

Question 6

Is there a free plan?

Accepted Answer

There is no monthly free tier, but you can connect your tools, build pages, and preview the client view for free. Publishing starts a 14-day trial with no credit card, then the current plan is $15/month.

Question 7

What happens if my trial or subscription ends?

Accepted Answer

You can still edit your configuration. An active trial or subscription is required to publish pages live again.

Question 8

Can I use a custom link like clientlens.app/site/acme?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Each page gets a permanent unguessable link, and you can add a friendly custom address on top. Friendly addresses are guessable by design, so use a per-page passcode when the page needs an additional access boundary.

Question 9

Are client pages indexed by search engines?

Accepted Answer

No. Public client pages set noindex, nofollow and are not enumerated. You can also require a per-page passcode.

One plan. Honest price.

The boundaries, before you share a client page.
